Hi , another set of newcomers!!!
Hi there,
We have been reading all your threads for months and have now got the courage to join!
We applied to TRA as gas fitter on 17th Feb 05 by registered post and got a positive result on 15th April 05. We posted our DIMIA mega form on 17th April again by bog standard registered mail and got an email acknowledement on 3rd May. We have applied under State Nomination as we didn't quite have enough points (jim nearly 40, hee hee!) and they replied within days with a positive result. Heading for Adelaide. Went on holiday last year to Perth/Western Aus ) and Sydney, loved it so much but South Australia is the only State nominating gas fitters at the moment. Keeping checking my emails every day, and going off your threads reckon it's gonna be a while!!!
Any tips from anyone would be very welcome!

Just wanted to say hi and welcome to the nut house. If you've been around a few months you will already know some of the strange things that happen here 
you will also know that in the main we have a great time and very supportive if someone is down or up or needs a drink

believe me the last few months fly - we moved in with my mum for 12 weeks..... i was dreadin it.... mixed personalities n all - but each week went by so quickly it was scary....and the last couple ov weeks we felt shit.... cuz we could see the look on mums face as each day passed....

Is that all, we have been waiting since april 04, 14 months since we had our acknoledgement from dimia and probably another one to go before we hear. It is almost like grounghog day. Sorry to rain on your parade but I needed a wee moan.
