British expats old and new hoping to move to perth in early 2007 will my hgv/pcv licences count over in oz or will i loose then also can i transfer my car licence to an oz licence or do i need to re-sit my test any help will be appreciated

apparently so i can gather as I'm not actually there in sunny Perth just yet, with any licence you have to sit a theory exam, you no the multiple choice one on the computor. I have also got my HGV1 but have read on here that it doesen't count and you have to take the whole thing again GREAT! more expence. Just passed my bike test last week cant wait Perth, sun open roads dream. Hope that helps.
