Do you know a pub called something like the 3 Pigeons on the Thames at Twickenham? When I was but a teenage youngster, I had a sophisticated London girlfriend who lived in Richmond (I was a simple Bucks boy) and went up there once. Fond/ innocent memories.

yes!!! (if we're thinking of the same place!) my cousin and I had a few there after England played the Baa baas a few months back.
I've only been in the country a bit out of the last few years so things change so much I hardly can recognise a 10 pound note from a twenty....
the locals can spot me coming a mile off..

just a bucks boy - well my grandfather ran the local church on the bucks/berks border and it seemed dead posh back in the 70s!!! Place called Farnham Royal??!!
