I am fairly confident that, provided you are main applicant, you can enter country alone first of all to validate visa.

There was a similar question recently - see below.

similar thread

Hope this helps.

Hiya Mate

Me again my understanding is all members must validate before

date. The main applicant can go over on own but everyone else also has to validate before 12 months from meds or police check!

They can not enter unless main applicant has validated or is with them.

I am looking forward to Graham walking behind me

Hiya
The whole family has to validate. You should have a date on your visa which will be the date by which you have to validate. When did u have your pcc and meds usually one year after that.

We all went in Feb to validate but the main applicant must enter before the others so you have tobe first in the queue

I've started a thread here about selling to investors since there is no chain. Not all properety will be suitable but it may work....

We're going out to validate our visas in January but won't be moving out there permanently for a few years yet.

Good luck selling your place.

Of course, technically there's nothing to stop you going at the point of contract exchange on the house, or even leaving it still for sale (as long as you have some trusty friends/relatives etc to keep an eye on the agents to make sure they're getting on with selling the house - our neighbors are a great bunch & would happily do this for us). Our lawyer tells us the sale etc can all be done in our absence, even if we don't exchange before we go.

Only problem might be that you have to pay the mortgage a bit longer, but I'm sure that's cheaper than all those extra air fares!

Good luck!
Anya.
