thanks Pol- yes that's probably exactly right - was just wondering whether 457 pot could/should/might be best invested elsewhere .....but as long as they count equally towards the pot from the permanent employment that follows that's all good iyswim ... thanks for replying anyhows

I was reading if you leave the country and your visa is cancelled or expires, then after 6 months the Government take your Super fund from your Super company..

yes they either freeze it or take it altogether after 6 months- can't remember which but it obv pays to be proactive

I understand that you should be able to re-coup this, i know backpackers who come to Australia to work and their super monies can be taken when they leave the country.
