I just don't want people getting a bad opinion of me |

I think what gets peoples backs up is your inference, whether intended or not, that people who choose to live in a suburb with a high British population are somehow inferior to you.
So when I move back to the UK with all those British people I'm going to have one massive inferiority complex:D Sorry you read more into my posts than were intended. |

Re: Help with Perth suburbs
I am so close I can smell them!
I have not noticed lots of British families where I live though there are quite a few British and Irish children at my daughters schools. So I think we are spread out over Woodvale. The Aussie children seem very friendly and just see someone from England etc as a new person starting school.Sue. |
Re: Help with Perth suburbs
Hi All,
Woodvale - lovely place, lots of trees (I remember) we were looking around there to buy, even had a tour around the local high school with our daughter. But due to the housing market we decided to rent our house out here in the UK until the market picks up. We're now going to rent somewhere nearer my sister, though I think when/if our house does sell we'll be coming over that way. Thanks all M |
Re: Help with Perth suburbs

Thing is, everybody thinks they are right, so who is wrong:lol:
as everyone is allowed their own opinion some expats like living near other expats and that is right for them and others like to live near aussies and have very few expats near them and thats right for them - some burbs do tend to attract expats but that is not wrong - either -its personal choice i live in a burb that has 71% of aussie (born) and 11% of uk born this is normal for the area of where i live - all of the burbs that are nxt to it have the same % of aussie to uk born its about the area - whats important to you personally not about nextdoor neighbours if they are aussie (born) or uk (born) but about local stuff like schools, shops , beach ( if thats important ) travel to work etc please note i am not having a dig at anyone its about personal choice |

Re: Help with Perth suburbs
i dont know why it always ends up being that its wrong to live up north or down south ? to live nr expats or to live nxt to aussie borns its personal choice
but people do have very strong views on this subject and i think everyone should respect everyones views on this as really everyone is right its about personal choice - i have seen so many arguments on here about where to live in perth |
