Default Help!Packers coming tomoro, please tell me my videos will play there?

I am still frantically sorting out what stuff to take, as shippers coming tomorrow and a friend has put a doubt in my mind about my videos! She says she didn't think I could play them in Australia, or is she wrong? I know that you can't in USA. Have just taken a break for a so I thought someone on BE could help. A lot of them are quite rare ones, so I know I could'nt replace them with a dvd. Would appreciate advice please

BTW Cathay Pacific DO give extra baggage allowance if you are emigrating,. I think someone on BE said they didn't. I just have to show them the visa in my passport.

Not sure, but I thought there was a therad about this fairly recently. If you're taking your video recorder with you, then your videos will play if you stick them into your machine. Doubtful that they will play in an Oz video recorder.

A VHS video from UK will play fine on an Aussie VHS player, sound and pictures. If you made the tapes on your own machine, it might be worth brining it anyway, because sometimes machines are a bit out of alignment and only they will play back their own tapes, other machines will struggle.
