Default Help needed-medicals

We are hoping to move to Melbourne in Nov and in a bit of a pickle so any advice or info would be appreciated.
My situation is as follows
tra sent away end of January (fast tracked) and still no word so phoned the agent to see what was happening and she said it could be another 4 weeks before we could here anything.
I was thinking of getting our meds and police checks done now so that when the tra comes back we could front load everything with the visa(designated area sponsor 139) and hope that we might get pushed through quicker but am not sure if this is the right thing to do.
Anyone got any ideas or suggestions.

If you are on a fast track for visa grant and not bothered about possibly having to validate the visas sooner - as the validation 'use by' date is based on the dates of the police checks/medicals - then I'd say GFI.

Otherwise if it takes up to a year to process your visa application, I guess you'd have to budget for either doing 2 medicals or leaving PDQ after the grant (would that be a problem though?!).

We did our meds in Dec without a DIMIA request, sent 'em off Mid-Dec & got the visa grant end Jan. I wanted to rush the meds thru, as I'd just lost loads of weight & was worried about the effects of the 'Holiday Season' on my BMI

We're off to Melbourne too, moving in Sept.

Good luck! Meds are much less scary than you'd think btw.

Anya.
