Or we need now is Richard Branson to turn up. Believe it or not, Australians don't mind entrenepeurs.(sic). Unless you're a complete wanker they will give you a chance. You can be the tallest poppy in the world but if people like you then you will remain the tallest.

Your age might work for you. You have less preconceived notions and are less acustomed to a comfort zone that other people might miss.

Agreed, good luck RichP I am going there with an entreprenurial (if thats a word) outlook too although I don't quite know what to do yet.

Everyone who starts a business or whatever in their thirties or Forties wish they did it in their twenties.

Best way to get compounded wealth is to start early, I'll be advising my kids to do this as soon as they are ready (not for a while yet!!)

If you have the right spirit and never give up you will succeed without a doubt and it sounds like you do.

Speaking of businesses, someone in Brisbane is selling his Balloon flights over Brisbane business, how much of a life changing thing would that be!!!!

all a load of hot air as far as im concerned

There was a saying by Erroll Flynn ; Any man who dies with MORE than $10,000 is a failure.

Compound wealth means working hard and being a ***** to a lot of people. Do you think abramovich is clean or any other million/billionaire for that reason.

I bet branson has a few skeletons too.

As far as im concerned , a mortgage free living with a nice easy job that gives me enough money to live on will do as id rather elongate the time i have left on this earth rather than waste it working 80 hour weeks schmoozing people in and out of work and having no time to spend it til you are 50 and retired and fully burnt out.

Whats the point of that!?

As you know from my earlier posts on this matter, id say go for it mate but a word of warning from someone this has happened to:

Ive clinically died once already on the operarting table for 4 hours, 4 years ago during a heart valve replacement op at the age of 30 , im happy to stay alive for a lot longer now at less of a fast pace.

The missus got M.E. from working a high pressure fast pace job at m&s head office while owning and competing on a horse (which is a full time job in itself) and by also having a steady social life. she has paid the price over the last 3 years for it, hardly going out or having energy to have a conversation some times. We never thought she would be better at one point amnd would stay a cabbage for the rest of her life she was that bad.

Thank god she is nearly over it now, and we count our blessings that we both feel we have been given a warning by nature to say, SLOW DOWN OR SOMETHING BAD WILL HAPPEN!!

So these days Less work equals less stress and a longer life.

I guess me and the missus have learned the hard way AND WE ARE ONLY 35 AND 39

Good luck rich, and if you need help when you get there give me an email id be happy to help anyone who wants to help themselves

Hi Rich

Wish I'd had your outlook on life when I was your age! Brilliant. I agree with you if you have the right outlook and belief you will succeed. Took me 20 years to realise that. You will get criticism and knocks along the way but it just makes you into a better and more determined person - take no notice it's jealousy.

You could always come with us, you sound just the type of young man I'd like my daughter to meet!!!

Thanks for the support everyone.

Kinda keeps me going when things get low.

Alk - Shit man, that sounds rough and you were so young.

Kinda scary, I hope that doesn't happen to me, i'm a really active person. People have said that i need to slow down. Hell a few people have. The problem is i get anxious, not in a nervous way, but more in a compulsive way. If i want to do something, i HAVE to do something. I try smile as it kinda combats stress in a way.

Anyway enough of that depressing stuff! Glad everythings worked out well for you both. All the best to your wife.

Mark & Ali: Thanks for the advice..*ahem* and regarding your daughter... erm... is she a brunette. Kinda my thing at the moment.

She went to see THE main man, maybe the leading specialist in the uk, maybe the world.

He happens to be in manchester too same as us which is a godsend but he has trained practitioners all over the country to diagnose and treat M.E. sufferers. He isnt a quack either. He got an honarary doctorate from the uni of salford for his work into m.e. studies.

He basically did a full history and it worked out that the m.e. may have started as early as childhood when she was knocked down in the drive by her own mum!!!

thats all that it takes to trigger it off im told but can come from just running the body on empty all the time.

What happened with clare was just this, then she got an everyday virus and it knocked her for 6 and never recovered. She just thought she was tired alot.

For a while she was diagnosed with having post viral fatigue syndrome, and then after a set amount of time, they class it as chronic fatigue aka M.E.

She got a few e-books of the internet by people who had beaten m.e. the natural way, as the docs arent really understanding when it comes to something they cannot diagnose via bloodtests. She read up on what they had done and took the best points from each and set out on a plan.

Basically , m.e. is a blockage of the lymphatic system. The lymph nodes are all over the body, but the main ones are nearly under your arms sort of the the outside of the breast. What they do is act(as they have an inlet andf outlet valve) like a oliver for the brain. They clean the blood before it gets to the brain, and if you are stressed then your adrenalin levels never go down.

The lymphs get blocked through toxin abuse and then stop the blood from going to the brain making people lethargic and achy joints etc as they arent getting the right nourishment as they are blocked off.

Doctors dont understand this and will ofeten prescribe anti depressants as they think the tiredness is all in the mind and want you to buck yoursel up a bit!! This will only make it worse as there are more toxins and you will feel better dso do more and thats so bad oin the long run as they wqont unblock themselves.

The guy in question is called Raymond Perrin. Do a google search and you will see how much is dedicated to him and his work.

His website is http://www.theperrinclinic.com/ .

He is launching a book next year, and has just been to the houses of parliment to give a talk to the BMA and gov about the fact he CAN diagnose it andtreat it. He has a success rate of 90+% and we went with him as he cured Clares old workmate in the timefrsame he said he would.

This morning ironically, Clare has been to see him for her 10 month assessment. She saw him at first every week, then after a while it was every 2 weeks, and she has texted me to say she is now going every 3 weeks, as the body has to heal; itself at some point and take over from the treatment.

When you first go, he assesses you on a grade 0-10 0 being dead, 10 being symptom free for 6 months + after being given a 9.

Clare started on a 4 as she was pretty bad. He then assessed her 6 months down the line (he initially said she would take 18 months on average) and was gobsmacked that she was at least a 7. She has followed everything he said to the letter without buckling to a glass of wine etc in nearly a year now.

We went in december 05 and he said 18 months- now he says she will be normal at xmas!!!!! She has to stay symptoim free for 6 months before getting the all clear and she has wanted to do more but limited herself as many fall into the trap of having a little enrgy and then going for a full on day out and going back 3 steps.

His rule is basically if you can do what you are going to do twice then do it, but if not then dont- a 50% rule. So if she was going shopping, could she do it tewice in the same day- it sort of tests you even iif you dont have m.e. (like can i drink 12 ppints instead of 6 lol).

The key points to tell your cousin are.

1. Rest and dont overdo anything-especially getting frustrated that you cant, as that will knacker her out more.

2. change lifestyle completely. Go on a gluten, wheat, yeast, sugar, rye, oat free diet. The gluten especially as gluten flattens the bits in the vein that soak up the good stuff that you eat as it passes.

3. Stop drinking alchohol,caffiene etc

4. Go and get some treatment of any sort. Tell her to try bowen as there is no perrin in australia yet, he is doing a world tour to promote his book next year starting with australia i think!! He is hoping to teach chiropracters around the world to treat it. Bowen is a treatment that is very hollistic and gets things flowing a bit, as there is a layer of plasma between the skin and muscle that is manipulated very lightly sending signals to the brain to heal. ITS VERY VERY GOOD and very common in aus as it was invented there and chiropractors HAVE to do it as part of the Chiropratitioners course at uni, thats how strongly they feel about it. Tjhis may get the blood flowing a little, but the perrin treatment is all about massage.

5. Massage - its all about getting the lymph unblocked. She could go for lymphatic drainiage massage, that may help. there are loads of things for her to do its just how willing she is to beat it and to change her life. tHere shoulfd be more info, and a video dvd that she can buty from perrin website. if there siint i maybe able to do her a copy. Tell her to phone em and they WILL send one out, and you never know he may use her as a case study for his book tour of oz!

Give her my email address if she need any more info [email protected]

clare is going to become an M.E. counsellor when we get to oz to help people get through it as not many people understand what it is and just think you are being lazy or on the wrong sort of diet etc, everyone has there own diagnosis and treatment especially friends and family.

ill stop talking off topic and hope this all made sense and may help someone or the friend/love/family member of someone out there.

Wow mate, my Cousin is actually in Manchester and last time I spoke to her parents they said they are seeing a private Dr in St Johns st I think.

I'll bet its the same guy as I also saw a leaflet for this in My meds Doctors surgery.

Knowing that you have seen such an improvement is so very much a great incentive for them so I'll pass this on. Brilliant

Thanks

back to topic (although stress and health I know are important when being in business for yourself. No more stressfull than my commute times to work today though of 5 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

#YES MAT E THE CONSULT IS IN ST JONS ST. DR.PERRIN IS IN THE SAME BUILDINg (downstairs when you walk in lol,) AS DR.MILLION, WE WENT TO HAVE OUR MEDS DONE THERE TOO AND LAUGHED THAT IT WAS THE SAME PLACE!!!

hE DOES THE CONSULT THERE(WHICH IS £60 A TIME, BUT YOU ONLY SEE HIM ONCE A MONTH TO KEEP COSTS DOWN, THEN HIS OTHER PRACTICE IS IN Prestwich but he has practitioners all over the north and the uk, see his website for nearest one.The others charge £35
a time and after howevermany months(depending on how well she responds) it goes down to every other week and then once a month at the end like clare was put to today
Tell her to say that alan and clare who are going to oz rave about him. He is a great guy and is a bumbling doctor, but kbnioiws his stuff.

Tell her to stick with him and she will be better.
