If you are goinfg over to see if you fancy CAirns, i'd spend some time in Perth or other places aswell, there is a big difference between all the cities. Seems silly to go all that way to only visait one place.

As said by other people Cairns is very tourist based as far as work goes, They wouldb't even entertain the though of putting me forward for any job other than waitressing.

Cairns in January!! Phew Hot and Humid, definately try going to at least a couple of other cities. Perth is Fab but remote. (although we like it) Brisbane great, sydney big city etc, Plenty of choice
