A very big thank you to everyone who has replied to this post & all your information is well appreciated, also it is good to know some of the niggles  that all airlines have even though its a short internal flight.

All the best

Re: Help with Internal Flight Brisbane to Sydney

It you use www.flightcentre.com.au this gives you all the budget airlines times and prices except Tiger.
The price of the flight is the same as booking direct with the airline but I think Flight Centre's admin charge is slightly more, so I tend to book direct once I've compared all the times/prices through Flight Centre.
And honestly, for an hour's flight, I wouldn't worry in the slightest about which is the better airline. By the time you've taken off, and they've come and offered you drinks, you're descending again
As long as the flight takes off on time, you'll be fine. I've flown with all the budget airlines several times and they're all fine (better than the likes of Easyjet/Ryanair), plus I don't think I've ever had a significant delay with any of them.
By the way, I think both Qantas and VirginBlue have just started their latest domestic seat sales - they seem to have one nearly every month :D - so may be worth a look

Many Thanks for your reply and help with this, also that link to the Flight Center has been very helpful and as you say its more important to have a flight without delays than a slightly better service.

All the best
