Hi folks,
We are a family of 4 ,coming over to Australia in the months of sep/oct 2010. We would like to know if anyone has any info on accomodation at this time. We are looking for something near the gold coast or surrounding areas. A 2 bed would be okay.Look forward to any advice.

Thanks folks ,the links were really helpful.
The travel agents were asking between 3/4k for the month esp around the Gold coast area & we just said to them " does it look as if we have just won the euromillions" ,maybe this weekend

cheers

I appreciate that may sound like a lot of money but my rent is $2400/month, and a mortgage (on the same ) would be about $4000/month. $3-4k for one month short term accommodation is probably not bad really.

Do a google search on the term "serviced appartments"; that might help

Or try here:

or here

http://www.realholidays.com.au/cgi-b...at=&o=def&p=10

In the last link I have used Coolangatta as an example suburb (far south Gold Coast but near airport - also cheaper than some other Gold Coast locations)

I was about to say the same as jayr.

About $1,000 per week for furnished rentals would be on target +/- $200

£1,000 per week should get you a good holiday hotel.

How long exactly are you staying ?
There is a place near us that charges $710 per week short term, or $360pw long term (13 weeks+ I think)

There should be others similar.

Have you asked Cal on here: http://www.brisbane-relocations.com/joomla or Rudi http://www.redlandsretreat.webs.com
Both can help with holiday type accommodation and have helped a lot of our clients.
