July is peak season (even though it's winter in Oz). Any chance of you leaving on or before 30 June? If so the prices will be cheaper.

We got a good deal on Airline Network when we went to Oz last year... worth a look. As is www.cheapflights.com

Erm, trying to remember. I seem to remember it's 1st October. At least it was when I flew to Oz for my second gap year in 1999, because that's why I flew on 1st October! It was cheaper.

Try Austravel or Trailfinders. They often have good deals.

We booked with www.leestravel.com for July, they give you an idea on peak/off peak times too.

Dialaflight was brilliant when we were trying to find a flight, especially as we had only 12 hours between signing over the house and moving out.
