Default Help! Documents and valuables

Hi, we are planning to go travelling on route to Oz for around 4 months. Is there any way to get our documents and valuables there without having to come back to the UK to collect them? Has anyone done anything similar and what did you do?

We travelled too. We took four suitcases; one contained stuff we'd need upon our arrival in Aus, one we used to store stuff we'd need in future locations or stuff we'd used in previous locations and two were used for things we'd need at whatever location we ended up in as part of our travels. Valuables and documents were stored in the to be opened in Aus suitcase. That and the storage case we dumped as left luggage at various airports and hotels for safe storage (some of the better hotels won't charge for this facility and are happy for you to leave cases for weeks at a time), whilst we jollied off with the rest of our stuff. We also scanned documents and uploaded them to our internet based email accounts, so even if the cases were lost by an airline or something, we'd have a copy.

Otherwise, maybe ask a relative to ship by air freight so they arrive when you do?

Ok Thanks, wasn't sure if banks do a safety deposit service. Does anyone know?
