Does it only happen when you click links on BritishExpats or is it happening whichever link you click on the web? Do you get this noise when open normal applications such as word or excel?

Try going into Control Panel, then Sound & Multimedia, then select "Windows Default" in the drop down box named "Scheme" and click on the OK button.

Now try again and it should have cleared it up

Are you sure it's not Pop-up-Stopper?

if you press CTRL button & press the 'Speaker' button next to the 'ON/OFF' button this should disable the Sounds POS makes when it stops a window popping up.

Hope this helps,

Chris Effy.
