We are finally moving to the "Sunshine Island". My wife has found a sponsor as we are over the hill (45+). We are due to arrive in Adelaide at the end of April. The sponsorship is for 12 months and we are on a 457 long stay business visa. We are looking for some advice on flights and wonder if anyone out there has been in a similar position. Does anyone know if we have to firstly have a return flight for this type of visa ? and can you have an open ticket ? If you have an open ticket how long is it valid for and how do you go about buying one ?
Hope someone out there can help as we have so much to do in the last couple of months.

I came out on an e457 last March on my own to Melbourne. I've not been back to the UK since. You will be fine with a single outbound ticket. Adelaide is a great place, totally under-rated. Good luck with the move.
