Hello! from Perth

Hi to anyone who might remember me. I posted on these boards for a short time in January this year. I have now settled in Rockingham, Perth. I havent been able to post for a while as my PC was damaged by Pickfords, but luckily I am up and running now and will contact those PMs who have contacted me.
My husband has just had his meds and is about to lodge a permanent spouse visa here. He came over on a ETA (naughty i know). Perth is great, I have spent a lot of time here before and I am glad I have made the move.
The thing I find the funniest is that 80% of british expats here have nothing good to say about Oz. These people normally moan whilst relaxing in their 5 bed home overlooking their pool whilst watching a gorgeous sunset. I have started steering clear of these types as they were the reason I left Perth previously.
Anyway, hope all of you are fine and that things are working out for you wherever you are.
Most important of all - be happy. God doesnt give to the miserable.

Very best of luck - will be in Perth very soon too and I PROMISE not to be one of the 80%, that's a pledge I made myself a while back.
Just going to treat it like the adventure it is.

Welcome back - didn't know you before, but know how you feel. Lived in Perth for 4 years from 1987 - 1991, then went home for 11 years before seeing the light and returning last year with my family.
Life is not perfect wherever you live, however it helps when the sun is shining, the pool is glimmering and the kids are healthy and happy.
Hope it works out for you this time round

Hiya,
Glad to see that not only are you back...but you are happy as well.
We CANT wait to get there....we are not wearing rose tinted glasses......we know there are tough times to come, but try and look on the positive.
