Re: Hello!! Need some serious help :-)
How long has this person been in Australia? Its just a thought, but as we have recently arrived I am mindful of the police checks etc that we had to have to gain entry. If you are correct, and she has left a trail of disaster behind in the UK, she may well have lied to gain entry to Australia. It might just be worth a telephone call to Immi to chat to them about it and see if they can give you any hope. Depending on which visa they have arrived on, if they get in trouble with the authorities whilst here maybe there might be some steps that immi could take?
So sorry for your situation. Hope it gets better soon. Ren xx |

Can't offer any help I am afraid but just wanted to say how much I sympathise with your situation, and I really hope things get better for you.
I don't know what it is about emigrating but amongst the run of the mill folk it really does seem to attract some nutters. I have moved twice now, the 1st time from UK to NZ I met my fair share of slightly odd and unbalanced ex-pats, so you would think I learned my lesson. But no on the 2nd move NZ to OZ there I am again merrily making friends with ex-pats, never again I can tell you. This time I managed to befriend someone who turned out to be a right bunny boiler, thankfully the friendship is severed and she seems quite happy to leave it that way apart from the odd encounter in the local supermarket when she can't help herself and makes snide remarks. Its a real shame but I find myself avoiding ex-pats now, buiding myself a nice network of Ozzie mates, much nicer. Anyway, hope your situation improves, it must be a nightmare, hang in there. |

One thing if you do get a AVO or similar, be prepared for them to lodge one back against you. Seriously, when the neighbs made enough complaints to finally get action against the fruitloop, he just made a huge list of 'alleged' stuff about them and got a order too:blink: Police told them that was pretty normal.
Same with a aussie mate of mine, she took one out about the husband so he took one out on her, that was crazy goings on:eek:, $56,000 :eek: of legal action over 2.5 years, totally mental stuff, one day in the petrol station she starts screaming and pulling off with the petrol pump and me still in the car just cause he drove past:huh: Both are now available on dating websites:rofl: that pair are gonna be some catch:lol: |

They have been here longer than me, have hardly any friends but her oddness is attracting other odd folk out of the woodwork  I really can't go into the nature of it all but the comments about retaliation are so true......she comes out with some real s%*t about us which everyone laughs at (i.e police/school/sane friends etc etc) which is amusing to them but not so funny to put up with. Got a new fire in my belly today going to get on the phone and badger a few people cos just all these kind words have left me feeling slightly less demoralised than I have been of late. Thanks all of you......huge party at my place when she's banged up or moves away:thumbsup: |

Too much information could put her and her family at even more risk of aggro. I'd prefer not to put her in that position. |

I don't think we need details, particularly as the OP is keeping her identity private in order that no one can possibly put 2 and 2 together and so not work out who the person is she is talking about.

If you know a "helpful" (nudge nudge wink wink) Uk copper they might do the odd check to give you an idea on any previous criminal history...no details but an idea with what youre dealing with. ;)
