I have redecorated virtually the whole house, dropped the price by over £10k, spent money on the garden, had a new boiler fitted, bought new carpets and can't see what else I can do to make it more appealing appart from knock the thing down and rebuild it to the bizarre requirements of the potential buyers that I have had round

I am supposed to be starting my new job in Australia tomorrow but have had to inform them that I wont be arriving as planned. They have kindly offered to keep the job open for me until the end of the year, to be honest though, I'm starting to doubt whether I'll even be there for then!

Coming on here has kept my hopes alive and cheered me up no end. However, it does seem to be getting very negative on here with lots of snidey comments and senseless arguments. It doesn't seem to be as fun as it used to be (sorry if this has changed over the past couple of weeks :o ).
I have therefore decided to take a break for a while and try and get my life back on track and put Australia on the back burner for now before it totally takes over my life.

I don't plan to disappear totally just for a few more weeks. I just wanted to come back to say thanks for all the laughs and good advice. You are some of the most friendly , supportive people I have ever come across and amaze me at times with your sensitivity and kindness. I would also like to thank those who replied to my daughters posts and will pass on all the emails that were sent. I am sure she will be in touch soon :) .

I've noticed that there appears to be quite a few newbies on here since I last visited. Hello to you all and I hope you find this forum as helpful as I have :)

I'll hopefully be back soon, take care everybody and good luck to those who are waiting for TRAs, visas and house buyers. Fingers crossed.

Tracey

Oh Tracey so sorry to see you go but totally understand sent you a pm :D

Have you concidered renting your house out, could that be a option for you? :)

Tracey,

Don't worry about the sniping......the forum goes through cycles. Isn't the first time.....won't be the last.

You got a for sale sign up ? Go out and turn it around.

Now, I don't know if you saw this first time I posted it but it's a good one anyway. Hope it cheers you up a little.
Double click the image and if you stare long enough at the greenery you will be able to make out a giraffe.

Do you see it ?

Keep smiling and stay positive :)
I will reserve your place in my den ;)

Sorry to hear about your woes. That's our biggest dread, not selling the house. Can't do anything until next year so trying not to think about it. I first joined BE a few years back, when we first started the whole process. It was in the days of Pommie Bas**** etc and things then used to get a little heated. Some other posters may remember those times. It did however pass, not too sure how but it did. I myself stopped looking and posting because we had come back from a validation trip knowing we were unable to go and live straight away and things were just getting too depressing. Finally got over it and now the time is nearing when we need to make the move.

I hope you get what your looking for and enjoy the rest from BE. It can give a lot but it can also take a lot out of you. All the best.

Cheers

Ginny
