We are hoping to go to Perth yes. We have some friends in Madeley? and are arranging a recky for next year. Just hope I can find work out there as from the searching I've done so far, there doesnt seem to be much out there. I work as an Architectural Technologist (similar to an Architect). Hopefully things will have picked up by the time we are ready to go.

check out seek.com.au but look at all the sections the jobs are all over the place, never just in one section.
look at reiwa.com.au for houses and domain.com.au , local news paper,
thewest.com.au for classifieds, were renting at the mo as we rented our house in uk, but were paying $370.00 per week for 3 by 2 in the kalamunda hills.

Hi,
I'm also in Perth! We couldn't sell our house in the UK and came out with just under £10,000. This was enough to buy a small car, (Toyota Echo, very cute!) and pay a deposit on a rental with other expenses.
We survived on this money for 5 weeks until my hubby started work and then the time came for me to seriously start looking for a job!! It wasn't easy, I must have applied for over 60 positions, but I finally got a job offer and started 7 weeks ago working for a pest management co as a scheduler.
The money is ok and the atmosphere is unlike any place I've ever worked in. Our boss is extremely chilled out, as long as you do your job you get left alone, and Fridays we stop working at around 3.45 and open up bottles of wine! I still have a hangover from yesterday's session! All in all we're having the most amazing experience, I'd recommend it to anyone, as long as you come over with realistic expectations! We're living in a new suburb call Sinagra, which is north of the city, we rent a 3 bed 2 bath house which is a year old and perfect for us having no kids, for $340 a week. Now that both of us are working we have a very comfy lifestyle, and are even trying to save for a deposit to buy a plot of land and build a house, without using any of our equity from the UK, which would be fab!!
We just need to make more of an effort to go and see the sea, and the sunsets, which are amazing!!
