Thought it was time to stop lurking in the background and say hello to everyone. This site is fantastic and we've picked up loads of information, so many thanks to you all! We have applied for a 136 MODL visa, OH is a spray painter, had the acknowledgment on Tuesday, so now in for the long wait! Hoping to fly to Brisbane October time, all depending on the visa! We have never been to Oz before and will be taking our two boys age 3 and 2, we like the look of the sunshine coast, but will depend on work for OH as to where we eventually settle. Anyway we are up for an adventure as life is too short for what ifs!
Anyway looking forward to reading more on this site, we are addicted already!

It's great to hear of another spray painter going through the process too, good luck with your TRA, the paperwork is a bit of a nightmare but worth it in the end. My OH has his own business so we had to get references from his customers, suppliers and his old employers. It took 3 months to get it all ready But was definately worth it when we passed

We do feel like we are on a rollercoaster, one day really excited and the next really scared, but I'm sure most people feel the same throughout this process. This site is very addictive but at least you learn a lot!! There are worse things to become addicted to!!

Hope all goes well with your visa app, we are on the 136 MODL too and waiting for the official go ahead. We hope to head to the Sunshine Coast in August. Me, OH - Nick, stepdaughter, Amber (16), eldest son Travis (6) and Mason (2).

Thanks Vikki, this site is brilliant because at least you can speak to others going through the same process. We are lucky because our friends and relatives are really supportive of our decision, but they don't quite understand how anxious we get at times with all the waiting, which is something everyone on here does understand.

My hubby is a sheet metal worker and we are applying for a 136 modl too. We are just sorting out all the stuff for the TRA at the moment which seems to be taking forever. If we ever get it done then we will be heading to Brisbane as well.

Hi Turner Clan and welcome, we have also applied for 136 MODL, OH is a Paint Sprayer too. We sent ours off on 24th Feb, don't know how i'm going to get through the long wait, it's so nerve-wracking!!
