We had a great life in the UK, but I wouldn't change this for a million bucks. We love it here. Is it perfect? Of course not, but it's a hell of a lot better for us that the UK.

I feel sorry for all those who are really unhappy, but there is a simple way to fix that

QED. Living in a country is very different to being on holiday in it...as you've just discovered.

Alot of things change, even from day to day. If you only came for the money, maybe you made a mistake, as alot of migrants also come here for the change in lifestyle, both for them and their families. What $value were you told that you could earn?
If you can make more money in the UK, do you intend to remain or return? I would find if I moved to the UK a) it is more expensive to live there, and b) I would be making the same or less than what I make now, with totally different working conditions.

i didnt just come for the money but we all need money to get by. a change in lifestyle yes but its turnt out for the worse. i earn an ok wage for brisbane and my wife works to but together we are finding it hard to get by. we dont have much money to enjoy anything and everything cost money.

ill stay for my wife but is she was happyto return i would.

Life just isn't that simple.

And its an entirely hypothetical question, and like most hypothetical questions, it leads to a fair bit of navel contemplating with not much resulting. Similar to "If you were a premiership footballer which member of 'Girls Aloud' would you knob first?"

Nothing can ever be exactly the same; life can't be put into reverse.

You can wonder all you like if it makes you feel better.

And yes that's ok, but you don't need my permission.
