Height of garages in Oz

Are garage heights greater in Oz?

I can't work out how anyone who has a 4x4 or MPV would get it in a garage in the UK.....

Just interested....

Standard ceiling heights are 2.44m, standard garage door height is 2.1m

Excellent. Most 4x4s etc seem to be 1.8m tall so will fit (just).

I knew someone who could only get their standard land cruiser into their garage (highset) by slightly deflating their tyres...

Alternatively, the same could be achieved by having all the family on-board.
