Heat

Usually get a couple of days in the 40s, a few more in the 30s, but most in the mid to high 20s. Heat during the daytime is on the whole bearable if you are sensible, it's when the temp is still in the 20s at night and you're trying to sleep that I find it hard esp. when the humidity's high too.
Have to say that if I was someone who worked outdoors (like a brickie) I'd find the temps very hard going.

We live in South Mandurah and the weather has been beautiful I have found only 1 day too hot (Australia day about 38 with hot winds) the rest of the time it has been great. We have had summer temps between mids 20's and upper 30's with most between 26 and 34. We get lovely sea breezes down here which is fantastic in the summer but I have been told very scary in the winter. We are high on a hill very near the sea and don't have any aircon. If you prefer a dry heat with cool breezes head west, if you prefer heat and high humidity then Queensland would be a better choice.

It gets hot down here in the south too, don't let anyone tell you otherwise
High 30s and low 40s over the last few weeks although today I think it is only 29 or 30.
While we are on the subject we also don't get all that much rain

I don't find the humidity too bad nowadays, maybe I've got used to it over the years.
Different kettle of fish if you live out west, though.

That just about sums up Sydney summers if you live towards the coast or near the water. Every one of the 28 summers I've had here have been exactly like that.

It really depends on where you live, if you live in Hobart and are up Mt Wellington you could be walking on snow and freezing even in the middle of summer while at the same time on the other side of the country in Brisbane it could be a hot 40 degrees.

It's been a very mild summer so far - by mild I mean average maximum daytime temp of about 30 degrees with a peak of about 33/34 - and you're right, we're not complaining.

The other day it was a bit cool, I turned the hot tap on in shower for 5 seconds...
No complaints here either!
