As i'm sitting here reading these the tears are rolling down my face. We are only just begining our long process to emigrate to Oz but we know we are doing what our heart tells us. Reading about your departures really brings it home, all the goodbye's, tears and promises to visit.

Our 18 year old son is adamant he does not want to come with us (Me, hubby and daughter age 12) but said he will visit!. We are trying to talk him into coming with us with an open return ticket and give it a go for a month or two but we're not getting very far. One saving grace is that he said he will live with my mum when we're gone, who I know will keep an eye on him.

We have a while to work on him but if we need to pay for air fares to see him in Oz regularly so be it. I can imagine everybody spends plenty of money on phone calls, internet air fares and postage just to feel a little closer to their loved ones.
