They recently took bricklayers off the SOL, so that says something about construction I suppose.

My pal is the building manager for a well known house building firm here in Perth, reckons things are very tight at the moment. Lots of tradies without or with insufficient work at the moment.

What about pipe fitters in the oil and gas side i have had my visa for almost 4 yrs now, planning on moving over in the last year of my 5 yrs visa, and am hoping or am thinking there is plenty of work in my line anyway, gorgon job just to name a few?
I have hardly been stuck or out of work here in the uk for long and have worked on sites and offshore for past 20yrs,does worry me i go there not get any work, one of the many reason i want to head to perth is there is supposed to me so much work and they dont have enough tradies.
