Rents in our area of Brisbane have come down from when we first rented in Aug 2011. Then the average rental in our area was over $900 a week for a 4 bed and now you can get the same type/standard of house for about $780. We are planning on going slightly further from our area and we can get a larger house with lots of air con and a pool for the same rental of $930 a week we are paying now (if not less).

Is that for a large house in an expensive suburb close to the CBD or something? If not that rent is quite high!
In that price range you can now find a large 3-4 bed, 2 bath house (in very good condition I must add), not far from the CBD, walking distance to the train station in some very nice inner eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

i have a 3 bed in williamstown Vic for $600 a week but rents are falling in the hobsons bay area definitely
