as i get older i tend to find that my hangovers are becoming ever more
vicious!! we all have our tried and tested methods of ridding ourselves
of the dreaded hangover.......

In Scotland it tends to be 2 x
painkiller of choice, plus water, wait one half hour and then have two
rolls & sausage & a cup of tea!!

My question is has anyone ever found
anything even remotely effective?

PS. My fovoured cure is the hair of
the dog!! but this is not really a cure it is merely delaying the
inevitable!!

Egg & Bacon, strong cup of coffee with Nurofen, force down the food even
though you won't feel like it! Then a "hair of the dog", and back to
sleep for an hour or so if possible!:beer:

off. LOTS of water

I agree. Also, avoid dark drinks if possible... red wine etc.
can give me evil hangovers, which is down to the tannins, not just
dehydration. I can't drink red wine anymore as it makes me feel really
pukey and I can't sleep on it. :(
I also heard that re-hydration stuff
like diaoralyte can help... you might have it in for the kids when they
have icky tummies.

Diaoralyte is enough to give you the boke!! my kids wont even touch the
stuff!
Might be worth a try in desperation!

Bananas ... are supposed to be really good at curing a hangover but I
prefer the gallons of water and two paracetamols before bedtime.
Then a
full cooked breaky the next morning :D

Buy some RU21,s from superdrug !! you take one for each drink you have
and its supposed to stop you getting a hangover, and also any liver
damage caused by alcohol !!

Not quite sure if these work yet though !
my sister has some and will be taking them tonight, so she will let me
know !!!

2x2L bottles of irn bru.
recipe:

drink as much as u can b4 u go to bed, leave the rest by the bed.
As
you periodically wake up in the middle of the night. GUZZLE as much as u
can b4 u fall back to sleep. dont worry if u p!sh the bed. its a
hangover cure u are after not an Incontinence problem:D

Nicky i have heard these are utter
crap? plus i am not paying 10 notes for 24 tabs!! one after each drink,
a night out would cost a bloody fortune!!
