Unhappy Hairdressing Newbee question

Hi I have asked the same question on Australia and Newzealand Immigration but I thought I would ask on here too. I am taking my NVQ level 2 this year IN Hairdressing and I was wondering if I have to take the Level 3 to be qualified in AUstralia or can I take the level 2, work for a year and then put in my Application. Any replys would be grateful as I don't want to make the wrong decision and waste a year doing it.

Thank you

I have no experience and I am a Graphic Designer by trade but trained as a HAirdresser years ago (stage 1). So I have no experience as such but am doing this cos my degree wont get me in. Thanks for tell ing me this as I am going to enrol this afternoon adn I want to make the right decision. I will take the level 3 as well if it will make it easier to get in.

thanks kelli

Hi Steve,
my degree wont get me in because it is in Graphic Design and no matter how you look at it Graphic Designers only get 50 points on the system and even though I am a further ed teacher this still only gives you 50 points unless you have worked in this or some other thing on the SOL for 3 -4 years. I haven't as I have been a student teacher and taking a degree. I have tried every thing to make up the points.

I hope this sheds some light and if you know something I don't please please tell me my first passion is multi media

Thanks tracey,
I have a sponsor so I am hoping I can get in with less experience but if I can't I will just have to go and get some ha ha.
I hope every thing works out for you in Oz and thanks for taking the time to reply.

Where does your sponsor live, are they in a designated area?

Are you lacking the 'recent work experience' required?

Hi steve,
they live in Brisbane 4515 kilcoy which is not a designated area as I believe. I am lacking the recent work experience because I have been at college and uni both for years.
