Hairdressers and Childcare
Are there any formal qualifications required to work as a Hairdresser or nursery assistant in Australia or NZ?

As regards Hairdressers, they will look for your 3/4 years apprenticeship details including any college related training plus a minimum of 4 years post-apprenticeship work experience.
You need to supply as many references, trade certificates and training documents as possible - they will check these for your Trade Assessment.
Good luck.

My daughter is a qualified Nursery Nurse with N.N.E.B qualification and her qualifications were assessed when she first decided to emigrate. However the qualification was not recognised and she had to find an alternative way to emigrate.
Despite the N.N.E.B being well regarded in this country, if it dosen't match an appropriate qualification in Aus you can't use it.
Hope this helps.
