There is a direct line into the city which takes about 35 mins to get into Flinders street station.

I think its one of those places where you need two cars to live properly though. Which should be factored into the price of any house purchase. You do get value for money there. Aapparently the shopping centre there has improved vastly since I last visited. Quite a Green Suburb, Close to Eltham, diamond Creek, St Andrews and it's famous bohemian market, Warrandyte, and the Train service is very good.

You could to a lot worse.
