must admit a better term could have been
used, but you must give it to the greeks, who would of give them a
chance at the start

WOGS in oz is not a derisory comment. It refers to europeans,
italians etc. Get used to it , cos when you get to oz, they all say WOGS

Not quite the stigma it is in Uk

a fine effort and good luck to them...and indeed good luck for me too.
I've been piling cash on them steadily since a drunken night at Souths
Juniors when I found they were 6-1 to beat France.

Like tinaj's previous assertion that abo is a
term of endearment, treat the above with equal caution. Calling a Greek
or an Italian a wog in Australia will be deemed offensive by most of
them.

Get a freakin' clue, seriously or stay away from Australia.

Good to see someone saying this. There is
not the same stigma as in the UK but the term is and has been used in a
derogatory manner. Don't be surprised at a less than endearing reaction
to the use of the term.

For an interesting item on the subject

Oh yeah congratulation to Greece on making George Graham's tactics seem
exciting. :) Seriously Congratulations as you had to beat some good
sides to win it.

It's "good to see someone saying this" as you say, as I'm an
Australian who actually knows something about it as opposed to a Brit
taking a flying guess from nowhere.

Not directed at you either
Bondipom.

I thought i'd edited that crap quickly enough too; oh well...

Yeah great news, congratulations to Greece... a good, respectable
side, non of the Becks ponceyness or scandal nonsense.

Climb off your high horses guys and girls. My Mrs is Greek and we have
a high number of Greek/Italian/Spainish friends. In this context the
term wog is not ment to be offencive at all!

Cheers Dinky

P.S. Them
Greeks been at it all day. It's a great day for world football and a
proud moment for a nation who is just about to host the Olympics
