Oh i'm sorry I didnt realise that being an Australian citizen wasn't good enough for you, I do apologise, yeah right in my opinion being an Australian citizen makes you worthy of calling yourself Australian and Australia obviously dont mind him thinking he's Australian as he was Fighting as Australian :D

Looks like you forgot that a Brit, Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin more than 15 years earlier. Shucks, it takes the shine off it a bit, doesn't it? :rolleyes:

Florey shared the Nobel Prize equally with Fleming and Chain.

So you could say that Florey got the Nob...

erm....the link/quote above it doesnt say Florey discovered it. He and Chain produced it. ie scaled up penicillin to industrial proportions....they created the application. Peniciliin would have been worthless otherwise.

There were actually 4 people involved, but only three could be given it. Its in Floreys biography. An excellent read.
