Default Grannie dumper misses out

The Health service here has been sighted as a reason to become a refugee , dream on.

AN 81-year-old grandmother spent nearly 26 hours on a hospital trolley in Royal Perth Hospital's emergency department because there were no ward beds available.

Thelma Thompson of Kelmscott had a heart attack on Tuesday and was taken to RPH after a transfer from Armadale Hospital.

It is understood she was one of nearly 30 patients assessed as requiring admission yesterday morning who could not be allocated a bed.
