Default got a property...

hello all,

Some of you may remember us, i fail my meds, appealed, and WON .!
Anyway we had to have first entry stamp in passports by 19 march 05. My son and i (kaz) went on Christmas eve because he is in last year of uni and didnt want to miss anything(expensive FLIGHTS ). To save £600 my husband (jeff) and daughter went on the 1st feb, will be back teusday.
Anyway while they were there they have put a deposit on a 10 acr property. stables, paddacs, jumping arena, dressage arena, showers for horses, with a big shed/work shop with kitchen and bathroom.
pluse a 4 bed 2 bath (house only 4 years old) with chefs kitchen an all rest of things you would expect over there . AND we had a sound offer on the house,(accepted), the buyers have sold and are in rented. they want to compleate by 25 march.!! yiks!
Now we are not really ready to go yet our other daughter is expecting our first grandchild. As it happens the people who we are buying oz property from cant go yet,so they will rent it off us for 5-6 months, They will also make any changes we ask for,(she is English)
SO, we waited 5 YEARS for this, now its all turning out GREAT..
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE ELSE, " IT WILL HAPPEN" KAREN

Hi, property sounds great, congrats. We will be hoping to find something similar when we eventually get there (been nearly a year and still nothing!). Where is the property that you're buying?

Hi Kaz,

I was really interested to read your post. We are hopefully moving to Perth in May and will probably live in the Northern Suburbs. I used to be a travelling groom for an international showjumper so maybe I could come down and see your place sometime ?? You never know, I might even buy a horse. Is there lot's of call for livery over there ? Will you do full livery or will it be DIYs ?

Hi Karen, hope the livery goes well. I did think of doing that when I got there but changed my mind. I was running my own yard over here but gave it up last year (have been off work since as a horse I was competing decided to give me a flying lesson, forgot to include a parachute, and bashed my head pretty badly. Nearly back to full health now). I don't miss the day to day running of a yard but do miss all the other aspects of working with the horses, especially the competing (dressage). I'm an equine sports massage therapist also and think I will concentrate mainly on doing this when we come over. We checked out alot of WA when we went over last year, but managed to miss out south Perth as far as Bunbury. Will look into that area as well then, see how prices compare etc.
