Congrats Maggy - well done you !!!

Does that mean our coffee in town is off now you are a working woman ????

All these people getting jobs is making me feel guilty for being a lady of leisure ........

OK I'm lying - I dont feel guilty at all.

In my defense I have actually applied for 2 jobs - not bad in nearly 3 months And the best of it is they are both govt jobs so I have to go through security checks (translate = another 6 months at least before I start work - woohoo)

Cheers doll I cant believe how lucky we have been.

Mark got first job he applied for then me too.

Must be the Scots in us ( shoosh Bordy U promised ) hahahah!

We came here with very little other than a positive attitude and a determination to succeed.

Almost forgot one suitcase of clothes each lol.

We can survive on Marks wages alone and save all mine, something we could never have done in UK.

I worked 2 jobs often doing 24 hour shifts and Mark worked almost 7 days a week still we struggled.

I cant wait to get back out to work, really looking forward to it.

I will be working with children from 6 months to 6 years. Hope I dont get broody :scared:

I wish every person out there looking for work all the very best.

Stay positive and dont give up.

I know we have been very very fortunate since we arrived.

Fingers crossed it stays that way

Thanks everyone

Hi Lisa

loads of work for child care workers dont worry about it.

I had to have my qualifications assessed by overseas qualifications board.

It takes approx 3 weeks.

My results are not through yet but was still offered the job.

My god do they know what they are letting themselves in for lol

Good luck but i doubt very much you will need it

Mags x

Keepin touch and i will give you address when you arrive
