Got the job in NZ
Hubby has finally got a firm job offer in NZ so now we can get our meds done and our application in.....phew
The house has still not sold ..... in fact we havent had one single viewing in 5 wks and its not like its a hovel or anything, its a beautiful 4 bed detached in a lovely area so now Im going to start panicking about that. I dont know whether its because its the holiday period or whether the market is really slowing down in general, I dont know what we'll do if it doesnt sell.
We dont need to sell for settlement funds but we do need to release our capital for the initial getting over to NZ and living expenses for a family of 5

HI Sky,
just read your PM as well and am really delighted for you! Perseverence really pays!!! About the house? I wouldn't be too discouraged just yet as my estate agent told us that July and August are always really bad months (which surprised me to be honest!) but that September is usually a bumper month!! So maybe something will happen soon for both of us! Here's hoping it isn't just him making excuses for hardly any viewers and no offers!!
Anyway you can really get the ball rolling on everything else now, and it's all very exciting isn't it! Again, all the best to you and hope everything falls in to place at the right time!

Congratulations. There are a few of us that are in the same boat as you as far as the house sale is concerned. I am sure there will be a bit of a spurt on the market once the kids are back at School and everyone is back off their holidays.
What job is your husband going to do over there?
Whisky

There generally is a little pick up end of Aug going into Sept, so don't miss out on the window of opportunity, property prices could slide next year, how badly do you want to get out quickly?

Congrats, one hurdle out the way! Selling house next, and all I can offer in advice is be realistic on the price, if you want to move quickly then undercut similar properties. Don't do as I did and take 6 months to realise
