We received an e-mail this morning saying that a pre-assessment has been made on our Application and that further information is requested and that a case officer will be contacting us at a later date. Is this normal to receive this and if so how long before we hear from the case officer. Does this mean that we should be hearing soon. (Application acknowledged 9.3.06 138 non modl).

You'll probably get something in the post. With us, we needed to send more paperwork regarding work experience and also clarify a few things regarding a child from a previous relationship.

Try not to worry. It seems that quite a few people get asked for extra information so its quite normal. At least you know they are working on it.

Just to reassure you, we were 138 and had exactly the same thing. Can't even remember what they wanted additional information on now - think defact stuff was one of them - but things were turned around pretty quickly and I think it was about six weeks later that our visa was granted.

We got our letter to ask for assurance of support today - no extra info required, but we were thorough to the point of obsession knowing that things would be more complicated once we left for the States

I got the same email last week, is there not an attachment with the email? there was with mine and it was the request to go for meds. Re-check your email to see if you missed the attachment.

our agent asked of for nearly a forest full of paperwork,i hope this gets things done a little quicker for us.i had nearly 20 work refs,refs off suppliers and loads from the tax,lets hope they have got everything they want.
i hope it goes as quick as the TRA.(two weeks.)
