Default Goodbyes

I know I am not the only one but I am feeling emotionally drained after spending the last 2-3 days saying all our goodbyes. Just left my mum and spent the last 1/2hr in tears.

I will miss my family and friends but must be positive and think of all the new friends we will make along the way.

Ah, I feel so sorry for you, but wishing I was in your position at the same time. Just wanted to wish you all the best. Loads of luck to you.

You are through the worst now- just make sure your family don't come to see you off at the airport- that would be bad!!
Even though we are not particularly close to our families it is something I am not looking forward to.

At least you are over most of the hurdles now and can get on to the good bits

Thanks for that.

No we all decided that it would not be a good idea to say goodbyes at the airport. It is also a long way for the family since we live in York and fly out of Gatwick.

Well we have final lot of friends coming over tonight to say bye and then tomorrow we are heading to London to see my hubbies family before our flight on wednesday.

Keep your chin up, it is the hardest thing in the world all these goodbyes but honest it will get better. Once you are off the plane the other end you will be to busy digesting all your new information and enjoying your new life. You will also make loads of new friends, honest you will.
Be happy.

We don't even know if we are going yet and I am already dreading the goodbyes - especially with both Mums making it clear that they think we want to go to NZ purely to upset them!

Rach is right - think of it as just "farewell till we meet again", it does make it easier.
Stick with it Jo, you're nearly there now......and as soon as you walk through emigration & security at Heathrow excitement will start to take over as the main feeling!

Good luck!
