Default Good old fashioned English breakfast fry up in Melbourne CBD - help needed

I've foolishly promised to take some colleagues out for a fry up on Monday morning but not sure of a good place in Melbourne's CBD that will provide substantial quantities of bacon, eggs, sausages, beans, hash browns, sauce and tea. All suggestions gratefully received.

Cheers,
Col

You could try the Food Court in the Southgate Precinct on Southbank, they have all different types of food in there.

With a Google search I found this article too:-

I have been conducting a little research of my own into this very subject over the last year. My top tip would be Degraves Street, (can't remember the name of the cafe but its Italian, on the opposite side of the road from the entrance to the CAE)...it's one of the few places in melbourne that does nice bacon! if you can make it as far as South Melbourne market the cafe opposite the market does a great value big breakfast...getting hungry thinking about it...!

The cafe is called Andiamo and is great for breakfast.

Someone mentioned Southgate food court, but it ain't great for fry-up's. You can get pretty much anything else

I haven't been there, but what about the British pubs, like the Elephant and Wheelbarrow on the corner of Bourke and errr, maybe Exhibition?

There's also a place between Block Arcade and Little Collins St in a narrow laneway where every place is a cafe or restaurant that does big breakfasts (name escapes me). Stick with Andiamo though. E Gusto at Southbank is good for breakfast (lunch and tea) but not the big British fry up variety.

Do you mean Brick Lane?? The one with Pug Mahones on it? Never had a greasy english style breakfast in any of those places, but they all do breakfasts, and some of them are nice.

Thanks to all - just heading off now for, hopefully, a massive fry up. Will report back.
