Good News Visa Granted
Only just joined the forum when we heard that our visa had been granted. We've been celebrating since we heard, hasn't really sunk in yet!! We are a family of four from Bristol and looking forward to settling in Melbourne. Our initial entry date is 23/02/06 but hoping to be out there before that. We'll be asking lots of questions shortly I'm sure. Cheers and good luck to everybody else, it was a long time coming (20 months approx.) but bloody well worth it!!

Hi Fraser
Thanks for your congrats! Visa type is 136 Skilled Indie. Sent TRA off about August 03 - took about 3 months to be verified. Sent main application end of Feb 04 and medicals requested around Feb 05. Sent these back with police clearance mid March - 20 April application approved!! Hope that helps -the wait is awful - feels like your life's on hold P.S. Great avatar
Thanks to Chris too for his wishes!

Hi Pootle
Thanks for your congrats! We have Amelia just turned 3 and India is 19 months - do you have kids? Glad to hear you are enjoying Melbourne - whereabouts are you? I guess you're renting initially? I've started looking at house prices and areas - I think we'll be quite a way out until the kids are at school at least - want to be mortgage free so I don't have to work!!
