Default A good Curry

Having lived in Birmingham for all of my life (so far) I have been spoiled by the choice of Indian food and Balti houses.

So far I have found Indian food in Brisbane bland but I am sure there is some good Indian food out there, I just need to find it.

Anyone got ant good sugestions?

Have you tried the Ceylon Inn? It is ok. Or the one at Oxley, just before you come to the Bunnings roundabout? The best ones are a fair bit from Graceville....

Everyone seems to be raving about the Spice Avenue in Birkdale. My brother loved it there.

In Birmingham a "Balti House" is usually a simple resturant where you can bring your own drinks and they specialise in Balti Currys, they are cooked and served in a Balti hence it's name, it looks like a small wok, then you eat it with a naan bread.

My mouth is watering now I have typed this

Looks like I will be trying the Spice Avenue. I don't mind the drive as I am moving out to Bellbowire in December so will be driving to go anywhere.

Anybody got an address?

They used to run the Spice Avenue Balti Restaurant at 3 Cleveland Street, Wolverhampton.

Must have found more customers in our BrisbaneBayside area
Interesting is that it isn't far away from Cleveland around here

I've got these two listed as being good, have you tried either ?
  • Randhawa's Indian Cuisine, 340 Hope Island Rd
  • Bombay Masala, 59 Railway St., Mudgeeraba
I'm not sure if they are good per British style, but that's what I have heard.

I have only been living here a week but I can't wait until I can drive around and sample all these restaurants.

Its going to be fun.

Maybe I should start a British Expats Curry Guide.

Thanks for the suggestions and keep them coming.
