Has anyone ever gone on their own to move to Australia?
I'm considering doing it next year after I get my HND. I'll be 22 then.
I'll already have a job as my company is an internation one so can work from any where in the world, so I wouldn't need to get a job.

I came on my own at 24 and haven't looked back! It's the same as anywhere really, you have to make a bit of an effort to meet people (I am sports mad so joined a couple of clubs and met people that way - also met people at work etc. I love Australia and evrything it offers me - it's an individual thing though - you'll never know til you try it and you can always go home if it doesn't suit you.

I'm mad on sports as well so that's good to know, I can come over and teach the aussies how to play football properly
! I'm a pretty confident, outgoing person anyway, so no doubt i'll make friends. One of the main reason for moving there is the outdoors/sport, would be so much better in warm weather, always wanted to learn to surf, just not in England haha!
Alot of people make friends from this forum, like meet up with other BE when they move out there. Seems to be more couples and familys that do this though?

Came out last year on my own. Best thing I ever did. Wish I did it 10 years ago now. Go for it, at the end of the day there is nothing stopping you returning if it doesn't work out for you. As mentioned, clubs & sports is the best way to meet new likeminded people, being ougoing you will fit in fine.
