We (me, hubby and 2 boys 7 and 10) are visiting the Gold Coast at Christmas. Can anyone advise if they have New Years Eve fireworks and if so where is the best place to watch them. We will be staying in Labrador and intend to do a day at Dreamworld and a day at White Water World. As we will only be there for 5 nights is there anything else that is a 'must do/see'? We will try and fit in some area exploring whilst there to see if it is somewhere we could settle in a year or two.
Any tips would be great.

Hi, we went over bonfire night a couple of years ago but they didn't have fireworks... just a uk thing! They should have fireworks though over xmas/new year?
We went to currumbin wildlife sanctuary which was great for kids, although I'm guessing the 10 year old will want something a little more happening then kangeroos and koalas?
Good luck!

Not 100% sure on this but I think Wet 'N Wild have fireworks on NYE not sure if they have an event or anything to accompany them.

Definately fireworks at Broady, parking is a nightmare though!
If you go to Currumbin Beach you can see the Surfers Paradise ones and Coolangattas fireworks at either side!
Enjoy whatever you decide to do.

Thanks for the replys everyone. Is there much to do at Broadbeach, could we spend the afternoon there and stay on for the kids fireworks?
We took the train into Melbourne last year for the kids fireworks but the rain came down followed by thunder and lightning so we ended up watching from Flinders Street station on our way home!!
