Off to the Gold Coast for a holiday in 10 days time from Perth.Besides theme parks what do you recommend kids are 12-17.
Places to eat etc.

We've just come back - arrived early hours of this morning. We did the theme park thing with our kids; 9,6 & 3. Out of all of them, I much preferred Sea World, the dolphin show was out of this world!

We were staying in surfers (which we hated! Like Benidorm IMHO). I'm just in the process of loading all our photos onto flicker and updating our blog.

Tamborine mountain was beautiful. We went whale watching after seeing SteveO's fantastic pictures. Unfortunately, the weather was really cold on the day we went and the whales weren't playing ball.

The Hard Rock Cafe in Surfers provided good value food (avoid Pizza Hut, we've eaten in cleaner loos!).

There are lots of deals on tickets for the parks at the moment as it's off-season. Dreamworld are offering a second day for $10.

Any other stuff I can help with, just shout. I must admit, after all the Perth bashing that goes on, we were very happy to be getting on a plane to come back to WA. The water restrictions over there are shocking.

If you dont do all the parks,Dreamworld is better than Movie world,both are great though.

Also if you eat on Orchid Avenue at Surfers between 5-7pm some places do 20-40% discounts on the menu.

(avoid Pizza Hut, we've eaten in cleaner loos!).
