Default Going, going, not gone (NZ)

I've posted this on the other emigration site but there may have been a few stragglers here that missed it.

I was due to fly to Wellington today but it's been a struggle to convince my family to go, ever since I got the job offer. It's funny how the certainty of a situation can change attitudes. When it was a possibility everything was fine (not perfect but most wanted to give it a go). As soon as the job offer came through, the possible became actual and life here (or a few significant parts of it - family, friends and our home) became too much to give up for most.

So it's all cancelled. I'll get over it but I've badly let down my future employer and that hurts.

that's a shame.... but nothing is worth risking the relationship with your family, and things have a way of working out for the best in the end.

best of luck

Thanks. A very slight possibility but not even worth thinking of, now; at least 3 years away.

That is sad.........Sorry for what i'ts worth. Being happy is what it's all about.
I'm a bit up for it then not, as the prospect of going seems more & more real. All the best to you & your family.
