Hello, we have decided to move back to Wales from Western Australia for family reasons.
We have a huge "to do" list, but would love if we can get your ideas of things to cancel and people to inform of our move from anyone that has done this already,

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, if it is, directions to the correct forum would be helpful

Split the To-Do list into smaller bits, less daunting then - master list with the main dates on it, then one for whats being shipped/dumped/etc, one for wat you need to buy over here etc.

Shipping - don't forget your TOR1

As for who to tell = two lists, one Aus, one UK. Lots of the UK you can't do till you're here, and you need to work out dates for telling the others.
A few for starters:
Aus - mortgage/landlord, ATO, centrelink, Telstra/Optus, electric, water, banks, GP, any health appointments, specs, dentists
UK - where to live/estate agents, HMRC, mobile, electric/gas, water, banks, council tax, GP

More personal ones - phone apps like paypal, friends & relatives

Also have a read of previous threads in here, there are lots of us who have posted while moving back from Aus

If you have a home to sell contact some agents and decided who is best for you, see what items you would want to bring to the Uk with you and have some companies give you quotes for the shipping. If you do not have a bank account etc here in the uk set one up whilst you are in Australia, for me they were the “main” first to do’s , do you have a place in Wales you can return to and do you have children ? Just wanting to know so more help could be offered. Good luck with the move to Wales a lovely country indeed
