Default going it alone...

Hi everyone,
Is there anyone out there who has moved out to Oz ahead of partners/families? My partner and I are thinking that I should go out for a month or so first, get reasonably settled and then he can come out when the stuff we are shipping has arrived (well maybe not that long).
Is there anyone in a similar situation - did you think that it was worth going ahead, or does it just add to the feelings of lonliness/isolation

Loads of people have. I assume (big mistake) that you are primary visa or have both validated before?

If you know lots of people where you are headed already you should be ok but I would hate it. Bit confused as to why you would to be honest, but each to his own. Only you know if you are both up to it.

As moneypenn says loads of people have done it The Bannanas for starters, personaly I am pretty good at being on my own so dont have the same feelings as moneypen but as she says it comes down to you as a person, if you are the primary applicant and feel independant enough to do it then do it.

Good luck
