i dont know if anyone will remember my brief time on this site about five months ago asking questions about moving to perth but id like to say that finally my wife and i have been here for nearly five months. We are still renting in kinross north of perth and desperately trying to find either a house to buy or land to have one built. it has become hard as house prices have boomed and getting land has turned into basically a lottery. is anyone out there having the same problems?

In this area we have had to pay $1000.00 to be on a list to even be considered for land in the area we want to live, just to show that we are serious. We have mentioned this to several Ozzies and the look of shock you get is :scared: ,.
Personally I feel that i would have loved to get in when the prices were lower, but there is still room for a lot more growth and the price hikes can only be good for the area (encouraging the right kind of people if you know what I mean). So all in all I think I will be happy to get into my own property and settled but if I have to pay a little more to live in this beautiful part of the world so be it!

There are still houses out there you'll just have to lower your expectations a bit. Once you are on the ladder should be easier to move up.
