Hi
Theres a guy on this site that has his own Pool Co in WA, but I have totally forgotten his name, he may know a supplier that may be able to help.
I would be interested as well as we are thinking of removing our old pool fence and putting the clear up.
Hopefully he may read this thread - fingers crossed

1 hour north of brisbane, will PM you the supplier, thats trade price might go up a bit if your not trade. Sounds cheap tho, but I have not seen samples yet, so quality yet to be confirmed.

Here's who we recommend all our customers to.
He does really good quality perspex fencing which looks just as good as glass but at a fraction of the cost.

Hope this helps you out.

Plastic might be cheaper but I'm not sure how durable it is. It might not last as long as glass?

Hi,
I think the glass/perspex looks lovely but a friend has it and says she'd never get it again as it is too hard to keep clean and looks awful when dirty.

Re: Glass/Perspex pool fencing
I paid around $550 / metre for glass - with a full border.
No problem to keep clean at all.
Only needed 11 m.
I did have consultation with the local council re: regulations and it seems that many just surround their pool with fences etc which is not always necessary, ie, the fence does not need to be at the pool edge. Your garden fence, if adequate, will suffice as long as it is of proper specification and, like swimming pool fences etc, it has secure gates that cannot be opened and that your house is also protected so that uninvited intruders cannot get to the pool from your street or from your house.
So, we used 11 m of glass fencing between our house exit and the pool and ensured that the perimiter fencing was adequate.
Council permission was granted.

Re: Glass/Perspex pool fencing
We're on acreage and don't have any perimeter fencing, also our verandah is about five foot higher than the pool and so needed about 45 metres of pool fencing
We did consider just having glass/perspex on the verandah but were advised by three pool companies that it would stop any breezes and raise the temperature too much - (in our situation anyway) so stuck with bog standard fencing all round - definitely not cheap
